Brooks Waterfront 5k Series, 26 January 2010

It was a glorious night on the Wellington waterfront and the usual challenge of the wind was replaced by a sea of people for the runners to weave through.

And if you think your age is a barrier to faster times, think again - Bernie Portenski, aged 60, finished in a scintillating 18:49 tonight. 

First male and female runners home were Tony Dodds and Nyla Carroll in a very fast 15:22 and 17:02 respectively. First walkers were Tim Dutton (29:15) and Andrea Adams (37:37). 

Thanks to all who ran tonight. Look out for another participation prize, starting soon.
