The weather was again excellent tonight for the Brooks 5km Waterfront race, with light winds and warm conditions for the 121 competitors. With lots of pedestrians out on the waterfront, the course was anything but fast! Matt Dravitzki, the current New Zealand marathon champion, lead the field home in a very good time of 15min 27sec. Olympian Nyla Carroll was again close to 17min, winning the women's race with an impressive time of 17min 9sec. Tim Dutton (28.41) and Terri Grimmett (31.12) again won the walkers' race. Our sponsors Brooks, Lifestyle Sports in Tawa and The Loaded Hog continue to support our races and deserve your support in return.
