Todd Stevens
has become a life member of
Wellington Scottish in recognition of his many years of club leadership and
organisation. He earned his first attendance badge at age 7. Next
year, he graduates to the M35 grade. Over
the years, he has led the juniors and senior squad. He has been
club captain since the early 1990s and has managed the running
programme for many years. He has served on the management
committee and has kept the club accounts. Under his strategic
leadership,
the senior men have won the national road relays four times and
picked up several seconds.
He joins the current life members: Brian Cattermole, Bruce Cowan, Don Dalgliesh, Clem Green, Bruce Jenkins, Steve Hunt, David Lonsdale, Colin Maclachlan, Melissa Moon, Alan Stevens, and Peter Tearle.
The 2004 senior club champions are: Running - James Coubrough and Michele Allison; Walking - Kristeene Parkes and Bart Jones. Junior champions are: Tim Hodge and Jodi Laws; James Glass and Tessa Hunt.

Here are the running championship placings, based on the three races: Dorne Cup, Wellington Cross and Road Championships. Clearly, one of the secrets of doing well in the championship is to show up at the three races (running faster than others in your grade also helps).
