Dorne Cup - Interclub Cross Country Races (up to 8k),
Trentham Memorial Park, Upper Hutt, 14 June 2008
A beautful day saw Scottish senior men and women take away the teams
prizes. Scottish runners were top four in the men's event (Hughes, Hodge, Buck and Smith), while the women filled places 6-9 in their race, with Turnidge,
Smith, Mexted and Roozendaal taking the honours. Glenn Hughes was first man home, while the WHAC took the quinella in the
women's race with masters athletes Vicky Humphries and Gabby O'Rourke first and second.
Men 19 and under was won comfortably by Brendon
Blacklaws with clubmates Woolley, Cooper and Ritchie slotting in at 2, 5 and 6. Melissa McAdam was 1G9, while Ariana
Harper was 3G13.
The course has small variations each year. This time the change was
the introduction of a double
crossing of a stream near the car park.
Scottish had 116 finishers and many supporters.
