The Loaded Hog Logo Three weeks in a row we have cheated the weather outlook and had fine conditions for our races – just a light northerly by race time this evening with 66 participants in total.

Dougal Thorburn sliced a few more seconds off his excellent time last week with a 15:37 result tonight. Ben Revell was second some 44 seconds later. Gabrielle O’Rourke again headed the women’s results with yet another sub-18-minute run in 17:55 with Michele Allison in second place. In the race walk, Sevanan Minassian was fastest around the course tonight in a time of 31:19 with Johnny Hines next in 31:58.

Thanks to Dan, Bob, Kathryn, Todd and David for helping officiate as well as Edwin (Bagman) back at home base. We did get the race video footage completed this evening. However, the Loaded Hog’s Hugo’s bar was booked for a private function so we had no capacity to view a replay on the big screen (many seemed happy with this for some reason). Perhaps next week, we can screen it as a finale.

And so we move on to our final race in Series 3, Autumn 2006. There will be extra prizes in the Loaded Hog prize pool next week so let’s hope we have a huge turnout to bid farewell to the inaugural Loaded Hog 5k Fun Run/Walk series.

So see you all next week – Tuesday, 11 April 2006 – same time – same place: 5:45pm for walkers and 6:00pm for runners.
