Wellington Centre Champs

 were held in Masterton on the 6th of February. Scottish Athletes competed in a variety of Track and Field Events. In the morning Session Angeline Penberthy ran in the 3000m (11.47.20) for silver, whilst the Delany brothers set the pace for the mens 3000m for Gold and Silver in U20, Harry out-sprinting Robbie. Hiro ran a well paced race to earn Gold in 9.14.65. Sharon Wray ran in the 3000m and later in the afternoon in the 1500m for silver and gold respectively. Ariana Blackwood competed in 6 events, earning three golds and two silvers. Ariana Harper competed in the 400m (gold) and 100m dash, with Jonathon Harper following suit and earning gold in both races. Harry Burnard ran a fine 3000m Steeplechase for U20 - 10.29 (gold) and 2nd overall in the mixed grade race. Ian Morton competed in the Men's Shot Put, Hammer Throw, Discus and Javelin earning 1 Gold, Two Silver and a Bronze. Adam Steinmetz ran 2.03 for 5th in the Senior Men's 800m, gaining a Silver medal, with many visitors at the Champs this weekend. Chris McIlroy ran 4.07.15 in the 1500m for Gold. Full
