For the final Waterfront 5k this summer we had 69 individuals out on the Waterfront running and walking from Taranaki Wharf to Point Jerringham.
And most impressively we completed the summer season with out one night of rain - 27 weeks in a row - woo-hoo! Alas tonight though we heeded to have the first course modification for the season due to the construction prep going on for Homegrown this weekend, meaning the course was diverted around the Waitangi Park on the sea side rather than Cable street, and to make up for that short cut we added an extra 65 metres on to the far end of the course at the turning point)
Tonights quickest was Patrick Williamson (for the third week ina row) with in 17:03 to take the mens win, 6 seconds ahead of Liam Carsons, and our fastest lady on course was Stacey Kennedy, in 19:42.
Quickest walker tonight was was Daphne Jones in 36:30, and the quickest men's walker John Hines in 39:02.
