Waterfront 5k

Wellington Scottish is pleased to bring the Summer 5k series back to Wellington’s Tuesday evenings!

Race bib pick up and bag drop: Shed 22, Taranaki Street
Race start line: East side of the link span bridge/diving platform
Race briefing: 5:40pm NZDT at race start line (5:25pm for early starters)
Race start time: 5:45pm NZDT (5:30pm early start for participants who will take longer than 30 min)
Prize giving: Approximately 6:30pm NZDT
Participants will need to be present and have paid for their race to be eligible for spot prizes

Race course

Starting near the diving platform, the race follows Wellington’s waterfront past Te Papa, on to the bridge by the marina, around the Clyde Quay wharf, and onto Oriental Bay to the turnaround just past Carlton Gore Road and back to the start.

The course is marshalled at the Clyde Quay wharf turn, the traffic turnaround at the north end of Clyde Quay wharf, and at the turnaround.

The waterfront is very popular with beachgoers and cyclists, particularly during the Summer months, so we ask that all participants be courteous to other users of the course.
